At Rancho Elementary we believe all students will be successful learners through collaboration and communication with families as partners. We recognize each student as a unique individual, and we will develop curriculum, instructional activities, and assessment measures to focus on providing valuable learning opportunities. Message from our Rancho Elementary Health Office!
While you are cleaning out your closets, the health office could use any of the following items: pants, sweat pants, shirts and shorts t-shirts, socks, shoes. Any of these items would be greatly appreciated.
If you will not be returning to Rancho Elementary School for the 2016-2017 school year, please inform the office as soon as possible. You may contact Mrs. Razo at 695- 7150 or email her at email@example.com.
WOW!!! This year our students, parents, friends, and relatives out-did themselves! Our Trek For Tech was extremely successful. We raised over $9,000.00 for RES technology purchases. Rancho teachers will help make decisions about our next steps in bringing more technology into our classrooms across the campus!

Being in school every day means your child won’t miss out on learning. Try to schedule appointments and family trips outside of school hours. If they ask to stay home “just because,” remind them of what they will miss, such as their reading group or art class. Explain that they can be absent only if they are sick or if there is a family emergency.
Each semester at Rancho we recognize students with Perfect Attendance (no tardies, absences, or early checkouts) as well as Exceptional Attendance (3 or fewer total).
For those parents who would like to provide input regarding classroom placement for their student(s) for the 2016-2017 school year, the forms will be available in the school office beginning May 2nd, 2016. Requests will be accepted until June 3rd, 2016. After this date, they are considered late.
When the weather is hot, cold, or wet, we have guidelines we follow in determining the most appropriate activity level for students. Our goal is to allow students breaks (recess and lunch) outdoors on our regular schedule as much as possible. Depending on a variety of weather related factors (temperature, breezes, humidity, shade availability, intensity of rain), we determine the specific parameters for the breaks. In extreme conditions, students will be kept indoors. Less extreme conditions can include some outdoor time and indoor options, while physical activity might be limited or eliminated. As always, student safety is our priority.
